Group wants Wi-Fi banned from public buildings

A group in Santa Fe says the city is discriminating against them because they say that they’re allergic to the wireless Internet signal. And now they want Wi-Fi banned from public buildings. (link)

Here’s a suggestion from Wikipedia: A tin foil hat is a piece of headgear made from one or more sheets of tin foil, aluminum foil or similar material. In theory, people wear the hats in the belief that they act to shield the brain from such influences as electromagnetic fields, or against alien interference, mind control and mind reading (link).

Can you say pending lawsuit? ~PAK

  1. After working around RF for many years, I still remember (and heed) the dire warnings from my EE325 instructor. And that was that RF burns must be diligently watched, as they can easily turn cancerous. This was borne out by some friends of mine in radio who incurred burns while working around transmitters. (Hey guys, aren’t you supposed to turn it off before sticking your hand in?)

While sitting around one morning drinking coffee, two of the three admitted that they’d had cancerous lesions excised from the sites of the RF burns. So am I wary of WiFi and Bluetooth?

Do I want to hang that thing on the side of my head and have it transmit through my soft tissues?

You don’t see me walking around with one, do you..?
